The Sun Hydraulics SCIALDV (SCIALDV) is a direct-acting sequence valve with a reverse flow check, designed to supply a secondary circuit with flow once the inlet port 1 pressure exceeds the valve setting. This valve features an integral check valve facilitating reverse flow from port 2 sequence to port 1 inlet. It controls the pressure at port 1 relative to the drain port 3 pressure, ensuring precise operation. All three-port sequence cartridges are physically and functionally interchangeable, offering the same flow path and cavity for a given frame size. Despite being a zero pilot flow valve, connecting port 3 is crucial to maintain pressure reference in the control chamber; blocking it may cause malfunction due to reciprocating seal weepage.
