The Sun Hydraulics SDFTLWV (SDFTLWV) is a pilot-operated, anti-shock sequence cartridge valve designed to limit maximum system pressure and control the rate of pressure rise. This valve opens and closes at a constant speed, independent of settings and flows, with an adjust screw to set the maximum relief and minimum threshold settings. It features an external drain that makes it insensitive to back pressure at port 2, allowing it to function effectively in cross port relief circuits. The SDFTLWV is immune to cavitation-related issues such as noise and manifold erosion due to its internal modulating design. It is not suitable for sequencing cylinders or load holding applications. The valve can handle a maximum operating pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar) and has a capacity of 30 gpm (120 L/min). Its cavity is T-2A Series 2, with factory pressure settings established at 4 gpm (15 L/min).
