The Sun Hydraulics SDHTLAN (Material Number: SDHTLAN) is a pilot-operated, anti-shock relief cartridge designed to limit maximum system pressure and control the rate of pressure rise. This valve opens and ramps closed at a constant speed, independent of settings and flows, with an adjust screw for setting maximum relief and minimum threshold pressures. Its external drain ensures insensitivity to pressure at port 2, making it suitable for cross-port relief circuits but not for sequencing cylinders or load-holding applications. The valve is immune to cavitation-related issues such as noise and manifold erosion due to its internal modulating mechanism. It can handle a maximum operating pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar), with the pressure at port 3 being directly additive to the valve setting at a 1:1 ratio.
