The Sun Hydraulics SQDBJCN (Material Number: SQDBJCN) is a kickdown sequence valve designed to open completely and maintain an open state once the inlet port 1 pressure surpasses the valve setting, enabling unrestricted flow from port 1 to port 2. The valve remains open as long as the pressure at port 1 is greater than at port 2. It resets when the pressure at port 1 drops below the setting, flow ceases from port 1 to port 2, and pressure at port 2 equals or exceeds that at port 1. This sequence valve is not suitable for load-holding applications. It features a main stage orifice protected by a 150-micron stainless steel screen and can handle pressures up to a maximum of 5000 psi (350 bar) at port 3, which directly adds to the valve setting in a 1:1 ratio. The SQDBJCN is intended for use on the actuator side of systems since flow must halt for reset; if used on the pump side, pump flow must be stopped for resetting.
