The Sun Hydraulics SQDBLCN (SQDBLCN) is a kickdown sequence valve designed to open completely and remain open once the pressure at inlet port 1 surpasses the valve's set threshold, allowing an unrestricted flow from port 1 to port 2. The valve setting is relative to drain port 3, and it stays open as long as the pressure at port 1 exceeds that of port 2. To reset, the pressure at port 1 must fall below the set point, cease flow from port 1 to port 2, and ensure the pressure at port 2 is equal to or greater than that at port 1. These valves are interchangeable among all three-port sequence cartridges, maintaining consistent flow paths and cavity dimensions for a given frame size. It should not be used in load-holding applications. The main stage orifice is safeguarded by a stainless steel screen with a mesh size of 150 microns. Pressure at port 3 directly adds to the valve setting in a one-to-one ratio and should not exceed 5000 psi (350 bar). Designed for actuator-side system use, flow cessation through the valve is necessary for resetting; if used on the pump side, pump flow must be halted for resetting. Corrosion-resistant variants are available with either stainless steel or zinc-nickel plated components identified by suffixes AP or LH respectively. Kick-down sequence valves will kick completely open and remain open once the pressure at the inlet (port 1) exceeds the valve setting, creating an unrestricted flow path from port 1 to port 2 (sequence). The pressure setting at port 1 is relative to the drain (port 3). The valve remains open as long as the pressure at port 1 exceeds the pressure at port 2. To reset the valve, pressure at port 1 must fall below the setting of the valve, flow from port 1 to port 2 must cease, and pressure at port 2 must be equal to or greater than the pressure at port 1.
