The Sun Hydraulics SQDBLCV (SQDBLCV) is a kickdown sequence valve designed to kick completely open and maintain an unrestricted flow path from port 1 to port 2 once the inlet pressure at port 1 surpasses the valve setting. This occurs relative to the drain port 3, and the valve remains open as long as the pressure at port 1 exceeds that at port 2. To reset, the pressure at port 1 must drop below the valve setting, flow between ports must cease, and pressures at ports 1 and 2 must equalize. The SQDBLCV is part of a series where all three-port sequence cartridges are interchangeable in terms of flow path and cavity for a given frame size. It should not be used in load-holding applications. The main stage orifice is safeguarded by a 150-micron stainless steel screen, with pressure at port 3 directly adding to the valve setting on a one-to-one basis, not exceeding 5000 psi (350 bar).
