The Sun Hydraulics SQDBLDV (SQDBLDV) is a kickdown sequence valve designed to open completely and remain open once the pressure at the inlet port 1 surpasses the valve setting, facilitating an unrestricted flow path from port 1 to port 2. The valve's operation is contingent on the pressure conditions at various ports, with its setting being relative to drain port 3. Notably, this valve remains open as long as the pressure at port 1 exceeds that at port 2. To reset it, the pressure at port 1 must drop below its setting, and flow must cease between ports 1 and 2 while ensuring pressure equilibrium between these ports. This model is interchangeable with all other three-port sequence cartridges of similar frame size in terms of flow path and cavity dimensions but is not suited for load-holding applications. Built with corrosion-resistant materials, this cartridge can operate in harsh environments and includes a stainless steel screen protecting its main stage orifice. Kick-down sequence valves will kick completely open and remain open once the pressure at the inlet (port 1) exceeds the valve setting, creating an unrestricted flow path from port 1 to port 2 (sequence). The pressure setting at port 1 is relative to the drain (port 3). The valve remains open as long as the pressure at port 1 exceeds the pressure at port 2. To reset the valve, pressure at port 1 must fall below the setting of the valve, flow from port 1 to port 2 must cease, and pressure at port 2 must be equal to or greater than the pressure at port 1.
- All 3 port sequence cartridges are physically and functionally interchangeable (i.e. same flow path, same cavity for a given frame size).
- Should not be used in load holding applications.
