The Sun Hydraulics SQFBCDV (SQFBCDV) is a specialized kickdown sequence valve designed to open completely and maintain an open state once the inlet port 1 pressure surpasses the valve's set threshold, allowing unrestricted flow from port 1 to port 2. This valve remains open as long as the pressure at port 1 exceeds that at port 2. To reset, the pressure at port 1 must drop below the valve setting, flow from port 1 to port 2 must stop, and pressure at port 2 must be equal to or greater than that at port 1. The SQFBCDV is interchangeable with all three-port sequence cartridges of similar frame size regarding flow path and cavity, but it is not suitable for load-holding applications. It features a stainless steel screen protecting its main stage orifice and supports a maximum operating pressure of up to 5000 psi (350 bar). The valve's design incorporates Sun's floating style construction, reducing the risk of internal part binding due to excessive torque or machining variations. It is intended for use on an actuator side of a system where flow cessation allows for reset; if used on a pump side, pump flow must be stopped for resetting. The valve has a capacity of up to 30 gpm (120 L/min), with factory pressure settings established at the kickdown point and typical response time around 25 ms. Maximum leakage at specific viscosity conditions is minimal, ensuring efficient operation.
