The Sun Hydraulics SQFBFBN (SQFBFBN) is a kickdown sequence valve designed to open completely and maintain an open state when the inlet port 1 pressure surpasses the valve's predefined setting, allowing unrestricted flow from port 1 to port 2. This valve remains open as long as the pressure at port 1 is higher than at port 2. To reset, the pressure at port 1 must drop below the valve setting, and flow from port 1 to port 2 must stop, with pressure at port 2 equaling or exceeding that at port 1. It features a main stage orifice shielded by a 150-micron stainless steel screen and should not be used for load holding applications. The valve is suitable for use on the actuator side of hydraulic systems, requiring cessation of flow for resetting; if applied on the pump side, pump flow must be halted for resetting. The design incorporates Sun's floating style construction to reduce internal part binding due to installation torque or machining variations. The product fits into a T-2A cavity with a capacity of up to 30 gpm (120 L/min) and can handle a maximum operating pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar). It has a typical response time of approximately 25 ms and minimal leakage rates under specified conditions. Adjustments can be made with five clockwise turns to increase settings, using an internal hex size of 5/32 in (4 mm) for the adjustment screw.
