The Sun Hydraulics SQFBJEV (SQFBJEV) is a kickdown sequence valve designed to open completely and maintain an open state when the inlet port 1 pressure surpasses the valve setting, enabling unrestricted flow from port 1 to port 2. This occurs as long as the pressure at port 1 exceeds that of port 2. To reset, the pressure at port 1 must drop below the valve setting, flow from port 1 to port 2 must halt, and pressure at port 2 should be equal to or greater than that at port 1. The valve features a main stage orifice protected by a stainless steel screen and should not be used in load-holding applications. It is intended for actuator-side use in systems where flow cessation through the valve is required for resetting; if used on the pump side, pump flow must be stopped for resetting. The design incorporates Sun Hydraulics' floating style construction to minimize internal part binding due to excessive installation torque or machining variations. Kick-down sequence valves will kick completely open and remain open once the pressure at the inlet (port 1) exceeds the valve setting, creating an unrestricted flow path from port 1 to port 2 (sequence). The pressure setting at port 1 is relative to the drain (port 3). The valve remains open as long as the pressure at port 1 exceeds the pressure at port 2.
