The Sun Hydraulics SQHBCWV (SQHBCWV) is a versatile kickdown sequence valve designed to provide an unrestricted flow path from port 1 to port 2 once the inlet pressure exceeds the valve setting. This valve is particularly effective in systems where maintaining a consistent flow is crucial, as it remains open as long as the pressure at port 1 surpasses that at port 2. To reset, the pressure must drop below the set level, and flow must cease through ports 1 and 2. This model is not recommended for load-holding applications due to its design. It features a main stage orifice protected by a robust 150-micron stainless steel screen and can handle pressures up to 5000 psi (350 bar), with pressure at port 3 directly adding to the valve setting on a 1:1 ratio. The SQHBCWV is intended for use on the actuator side of hydraulic systems, ensuring that flow cessation allows for proper resetting of the valve; if utilized on the pump side, pump flow must be halted for reset procedures.
