The Sun Hydraulics SQHBKDV (SQHBKDV) is a kickdown sequence valve designed for hydraulic systems, providing an efficient flow path by kicking completely open and remaining so once the pressure at inlet port 1 exceeds the valve setting. This creates an unrestricted flow from port 1 to port 2, and the valve stays open as long as this pressure condition is maintained. The valve resets when the pressure at port 1 falls below the set threshold, flow ceases, and pressure at port 2 equals or surpasses that at port 1. Notably, this valve should not be used in load-holding applications. It features a main stage orifice protected by a 150-micron stainless steel screen and can handle pressures up to 5000 psi (350 bar). Designed for actuator-side applications, it requires flow cessation for resetting, which must be considered if used on the pump side. The Sun floating style construction minimizes internal part binding due to installation torque or machining variations.
