The Sun Hydraulics SQHBLCV (SQHBLCV) is a kickdown sequence valve engineered to open completely and maintain an open state once the inlet port 1 pressure surpasses the valve's preset threshold, facilitating an unobstructed flow from port 1 to port 2. This design is tailored for applications where pressure at port 1 needs to exceed the pressure at port 2 for the valve to remain open. To reset, the pressure at port 1 must drop below the set point, with no flow between ports and equal or greater pressure at port 2 compared to port 1. The valve is interchangeable with other three-port sequence cartridges of the same frame size, offering consistent flow paths and cavity dimensions. However, it is not recommended for load-holding tasks. The main stage orifice is safeguarded by a robust 150-micron stainless steel screen. The additive nature of pressure at port 3 enhances the valve setting directly in a 1:1 ratio but should not exceed a maximum of 5000 psi (350 bar). Designed primarily for actuator-side applications, it requires cessation of flow through the valve for resetting; if utilized on the pump side, pump flow must be halted for resetting purposes.
