The Sun Hydraulics SQHBQAN (SQHBQAN) is a kickdown sequence valve designed to manage flow in hydraulic systems by completely opening and maintaining an open state once the pressure at inlet port 1 surpasses the pre-set threshold. This creates an unrestricted flow path from port 1 to port 2, with the pressure setting at port 1 being relative to drain port 3. The valve remains open as long as the pressure at port 1 exceeds that of port 2, and it requires a drop in pressure below its setting for resetting. The valve is specifically intended for use on the actuator side of a system, as flow through the valve must cease for it to reset; if used on the pump side, pump flow must be halted for resetting. It features a floating style construction to reduce binding risks due to installation torque or machining variations. This valve incorporates a stainless steel screen protecting its main stage orifice and should not be used in load-holding applications.
