The Sun Hydraulics SQJBCWN (SQJBCWN) is a kickdown sequence valve designed to provide an unrestricted flow path from port 1 to port 2 once the pressure at the inlet port 1 exceeds the valve setting. This action occurs relative to the drain port 3, and the valve remains open as long as the pressure at port 1 stays above that at port 2. To reset, pressure at port 1 must drop below the valve setting, flow between ports must cease, and pressure at port 2 should be equal to or greater than that at port 1. The valve is not recommended for load-holding applications and features a main stage orifice protected by a 150-micron stainless steel screen. It can handle a maximum operating pressure of up to 5000 psi (350 bar) and has a capacity of up to 120 gpm (480 L/min). The response time is typically around 25 ms with minimal leakage rates under specific conditions. The Sun floating style construction minimizes internal binding risks due to installation torque or machining variations. The pressure setting at port 1 is relative to the drain (port 3). The valve remains open as long as the pressure at port 1 exceeds the pressure at port 2. To reset the valve, pressure at port 1 must fall below the setting of the valve, flow from port 1 to port 2 must cease, and pressure at port 2 must be equal to or greater than the pressure at port 1.
