The Sun Hydraulics SQJBLAN (SQJBLAN) is a kickdown sequence valve designed to open fully and maintain an open state once the inlet port 1 pressure surpasses the valve setting, allowing unrestricted flow from port 1 to port 2. The pressure setting at port 1 is influenced by the drain port 3, and the valve stays open as long as the pressure at port 1 is greater than that at port 2. To reset, pressure at port 1 must drop below the valve's setting, flow from port 1 to port 2 must stop, and pressure at port 2 must be equal to or exceed that at port 1. This model features interchangeable three-port sequence cartridges with identical flow paths and cavity sizes for a given frame size, but it should not be used in load-holding applications. The main stage orifice is safeguarded by a durable 150-micron stainless steel screen. The valve's maximum operating pressure is capped at 5000 psi (350 bar), with an intended use on the actuator side of systems where flow cessation through the valve facilitates resetting. It employs Sun's floating style construction to reduce internal binding risks due to installation torque or machining variations. The SQJBLAN has a capacity of up to 120 gpm (480 L/min) with factory settings established at kickdown points and a typical response time of approximately 25 ms. Maximum leakage is limited to five cubic inches per minute at specific viscosity conditions. Installation requires precise torque specifications for optimal performance, and adjustments can be made via an internal hex screw with a locknut for secure settings.
