The Sun Hydraulics SXCACAN (Material Number: SXCACAN) is a direct-acting sequence valve designed to supply a secondary circuit with flow once the pressure at inlet port 1 exceeds the valve's setting. It controls the pressure at port 1 in relation to the drain port 3, and is suitable for load holding applications. This valve is part of a series that features physically and functionally interchangeable 3-port sequence cartridges, which share the same flow path and cavity for a given frame size. The SXCACAN model requires port 3 to be connected as it serves as a pressure reference in the control chamber; blocking this port can lead to malfunction due to reciprocating seal weepage. The pressure at port 3 adds directly to the valve setting at a 1:1 ratio, with a maximum allowable pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar). This corrosion-resistant cartridge incorporates Sun's floating style construction, minimizing potential internal part binding due to excessive installation torque or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
