The Sun Hydraulics SXCACEN (Material Number: SXCACEN) is a direct-acting sequence valve designed to supply a secondary circuit with flow once the inlet port 1 pressure exceeds the valve setting. This model controls the pressure at port 1 relative to the pressure at drain port 3, and all three-port sequence cartridges are interchangeable in terms of flow path and cavity size. Despite being a zero pilot flow valve, it requires that port 3 be connected to maintain a proper pressure reference in the control chamber; otherwise, blocking it could cause malfunction due to reciprocating seal weepage. The pressure at port 3 adds directly to the valve setting at a 1:1 ratio and should not surpass 5000 psi (350 bar). Suitable for load-holding applications, this corrosion-resistant cartridge is ideal for use in corrosive environments, available with stainless steel or zinc-nickel plated components. It features Sun's floating style construction to minimize internal binding risks from excessive installation torque or machining variations.
