The Sun Hydraulics SXCACWV (SXCACWV) is a direct-acting sequence valve designed to supply a secondary circuit with flow once the pressure at inlet port 1 exceeds the valve setting. The sequence valve controls the pressure at port 1 relative to the pressure at drain port 3, making it suitable for load holding applications. This zero pilot flow valve requires that port 3 be connected to maintain a pressure reference in the control chamber, as blocking port 3 can lead to malfunction due to reciprocating seal weepage. The valve's design incorporates Sun's floating style construction, minimizing internal parts binding from excessive installation torque or machining variations. The SXCACWV is corrosion-resistant and available with external stainless steel components (suffix AP) or zinc-nickel plated components (suffix LH). It features a T-11A cavity and Series 1 capacity of up to 15 gpm (60 L/min), with factory pressure settings established at 2 in/min (30 cc/min). The maximum operating pressure is rated at 5000 psi (350 bar), with typical response times of around 2 ms. Valve leakage at reseat is limited to a maximum of 10 drops/min (0.7 cc/min). Adjustments are made via an internal hex screw, allowing for up to four clockwise turns to increase settings, while installation requires a torque between 30-35 lbf ft (41-47 Nm). The adjustment screw has an internal hex size of 5/32 inch (4 mm), and the locknut hex size is 9/16 inch (15 mm) with a torque requirement of 80-90 lbf in (9-10 Nm).
