The Sun Hydraulics SXCBCCN (SXCBCCN) is an atmospherically referenced, direct-acting sequence valve designed to supply a secondary circuit with flow once the pressure at the inlet port 1 exceeds the valve setting. This sequence valve effectively controls the pressure at port 1 relative to the atmospheric vent, making it suitable for use in load holding applications. It is particularly beneficial in scenarios where a drain connection is not feasible, although it may leak externally or allow moisture into the spring chamber over time. The design incorporates Sun's floating style construction to minimize binding of internal parts due to excessive installation torque or cavity/cartridge machining variations. The SXCBCCN can handle a capacity of up to 15 gpm (60 L/min) and operates under a maximum pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar). It features a typical response time of 2 ms and has a maximum leakage rate of 10 drops/min (0.7 cc/min) at reseat. The valve setting can be adjusted with up to four clockwise turns, and it has specific installation torque requirements: 30 - 35 lbf ft (41 - 47 Nm). The adjustment screw has an internal hex size of 5/32 in. (4 mm), while the locknut hex size is 9/16 in. (15 mm), with a locknut torque range of 80 - 90 lbf in. (9 - 10 Nm). Weighing approximately .30 lb (.15 kg), this model also includes a Viton seal kit option for enhanced durability and performance under various conditions.

Atmospherically referenced, direct-acting sequence valves will supply a secondary circuit with flow once the pressure at the inlet (port 1) has exceeded the valve setting. The pressure setting of this sequence valve controls the pressure at port 1 relative to the atmospheric vent.

  • Suitable for use in load holding applications.
  • Atmospherically referenced valves should only be used where it is impossible have a drain connection. Over time, the atmospherically referenced valves may leak externally or allow moisture into the spring chamber.
  • Approximately 1 drop (0,07 cc) of fluid will pass into the vented spring chamber every 4000 cycles.
  • Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
